Continuing Education Programs
(a)
The board shall approve continuing education programs for licensees under this chapter. A continuing education program must be at least eight hours long and must include the current rules of the department and such other matters as the board may deem relevant.(b)
Completion of an approved continuing education program described by Subsection (a) is a prerequisite to renewal of a license.(c)
No test shall be given in relation to any continuing education program.(d)
If the approval of a continuing education program expires between regularly scheduled board meetings, the director may, on receipt of the required renewal application, fee, and necessary documentation of education material, approve the continued administration of the program until the next board meeting.(e)
