Rusk County
(a)
The Rusk County Juvenile Board is composed of the county judge, the district judges in Rusk County, and the judge of each county court at law.(b)
The juvenile court judge is the chairman of the board and its chief administrative officer.(c)
The commissioners court may pay the juvenile board members additional compensation in an amount set by the commissioners court. The additional compensation is for the added duties imposed on the members and shall be paid in equal monthly installments from the general fund of the county.(d)
The commissioners court may accept gifts, grants, or donations from other political subdivisions of the state, an organization, or other person for use in paying the salaries and expenses of the juvenile probation officer. Funds received under this subsection shall be placed in a special fund.(e)
The chairman shall certify all claims for expenses of the juvenile probation officer as necessary in the performance of the officer’s duties. The commissioners court shall provide the necessary funds to pay the salaries and expenses of the juvenile probation officer from the special fund or from the general fund.(f)
Sections 152.0002 (Board Meetings), 152.0004 (General Expenses), 152.0005 (Expenses of Board Members and Juvenile Court), 152.0006 (Fiscal Officer), 152.0007 (Duties), and 152.0008 (Personnel) do not apply to the juvenile board of Rusk County.
