Human Resources Code Section 152.0211
Bexar County
(a)
The juvenile board of Bexar County is composed of the county judge and the district judges in Bexar County.(b)
The commissioners court shall pay the county judge additional annual compensation of $4,500. The county commissioners court shall pay the district judges on the board an additional annual salary of $1,500. The additional compensation paid to the county and district judges shall be paid in equal monthly installments from the general fund of the county.(c)
The juvenile board shall hold meetings at least once every three months in accordance with board rules.(d)
The board shall keep records as required by law and board rules.(e)
A juvenile probation officer shall take the oath of office when appointed and the oath and the fact of the appointment shall be filed with the county clerk.(f)
The commissioners court shall provide the juvenile probation officers with:(1)
automobiles and their maintenance and operation expenses for use in official duties; or(2)
an automobile allowance for the use of a personal automobile on official business in the amount determined to be necessary by the commissioners court.(g)
The commissioners court shall provide the necessary funds to pay the salaries and expenses of the juvenile probation personnel.(h)
Sections 152.0002 (Board Meetings), 152.0004 (General Expenses), 152.0005 (Expenses of Board Members and Juvenile Court), 152.0006 (Fiscal Officer), 152.0007 (Duties), and 152.0008 (Personnel)(a) do not apply to the juvenile board of Bexar County.(i)
The board may apply for, accept, hold in trust, spend, and otherwise use a gift, grant, or donation of land or money or other personal property from a governmental entity, corporation, individual, or other source for the benefit of the juvenile justice system.
