Crosby County
(a)
The Crosby County Juvenile Board is composed of the county judge, the district judges in Crosby County, and one public member appointed by the judges.(b)
The public member serves a two-year term.(c)
The juvenile board shall elect one of its members as chairman at the beginning of each year.(d)
The members of the juvenile board do not receive compensation for serving on the board.(e)
The chief probation officer may set the salaries and allowances of juvenile probation personnel with the approval of the board.(f)
Sections 152.0003 (Compensation) and 152.0005 (Expenses of Board Members and Juvenile Court)(b) do not apply to the juvenile board of Crosby County.(g)
The juvenile board of Crosby County and the juvenile boards of one or more counties that are adjacent to or in close proximity to Crosby County may agree to operate together with respect to all matters, or with respect to certain matters specified by the juvenile boards. Juvenile boards operating together may appoint one fiscal officer to receive and disburse funds for the boards.
