Reciprocal Licenses; Out-of-state Applicants


(a)

The commission may waive any prerequisite to obtaining a license for an applicant, including any requirement to submit a set of fingerprints, after reviewing the applicant’s credentials and determining that the applicant holds a license from another state that has license requirements substantially equivalent to the requirements of this state.

(b)

The commission may waive any prerequisite to obtaining a license, including any requirement to submit a set of fingerprints, for an applicant who holds a license from another state with which this state has a reciprocity agreement. The commission may enter into agreements with other states to allow for licensing by reciprocity.
