Mediator


(a)

By agreement, the parties shall select and compensate a mediator who is qualified to serve under Section 154.052 (Qualifications of Impartial Third Party)(a), Civil Practice and Remedies Code.

(b)

Sections 154.053 (Standards and Duties of Impartial Third Parties) and 154.055 (Qualified Immunity of Impartial Third Parties), Civil Practice and Remedies Code, apply to a mediator under this subchapter.

(c)

A mediator may not impose the mediator’s own judgment on the issues for that of the parties.
