Tex. Ins. Code Section 542.152
Exception


This subchapter does not apply to:

(1)

a casualty insurance policy that requires the insured’s consent to settle a claim against the insured;

(2)

fidelity, surety, or guaranty bonds; or

(3)

marine insurance as defined by Section 1807.001 (Definitions).
