Tex. Human Resources Code Section 101A.202
Contributions to Local Organizations: Certain Counties


(a)

This section applies only to counties having a population of not less than 20,600 and not more than 20,800 and to cities and towns within those counties.

(b)

Each county and each city or town to which this section applies may cooperate with the department in carrying out the department’s purposes under this chapter on a local level by contributing funds to any local organization the functions of which are to cooperate with the department in carrying out those purposes. The organization must operate with the approval and sanction of the department.

(c)

The operation of buildings, facilities, services, and programs by an organization for other community services or benefits does not prohibit the contribution of the funds under this section for the part of the organization’s program for the aging if that part of the program is approved by the department.
