Tex. Human Resources Code Section 101A.155
Case Management Units


(a)

The department shall designate one or more case management units for each service area to provide case management services according to department rules and standards.

(b)

The department shall designate an area agency on aging as a case management unit for a service area. The area agency on aging may act as the case management unit, after obtaining approval from the department in accordance with department rules governing the granting of such approval, or the area agency on aging may subcontract with a local service agency or hospital to act as the case management unit.

(c)

A case manager must be an employee of a case management unit.

(d)

The department shall periodically review a case management unit.
