Tex. Spec. Dist. Local Laws Code Section 7886.0201
Qualified Water Supply Corporation

A corporation is qualified to assume the district’s debts, liabilities, and obligations and assume ownership of the district’s assets and facilities if the corporation:

(1)

is member-owned, member-controlled, and formed under Chapter 67 (Nonprofit Water Supply or Sewer Service Corporations), Water Code; and

(2)

possesses a valid certificate of public convenience and necessity obtained under Section 13.246 (Notice and Hearing; Issuance or Refusal; Factors Considered), Water Code.
