Adding or Removing Territory

(a)

Subject to Subsection (b), the board may add or remove territory as provided by Subchapter J (Adding Land by Petition of Landowner), Chapter 49 (Provisions Applicable to All Districts), Water Code.

(b)

The district may add territory as described by Subsection (a) only if the district obtains written consent from:

(1)

the governing body of the city; and

(2)

any public entity that owns facilities for the inter-county transportation of water in the area proposed to be annexed.
