Tex. Occ. Code Section 2153.302
Mandatory Denial of General Business License

The comptroller may not issue a general business license if the comptroller finds that the applicant has been:

(1)

finally convicted of a felony during the five years preceding the date of application; or

(2)

placed on community supervision or released on parole for a felony conviction during the two years preceding the date of application.
