Tex. Occ. Code Section 1152.104
Terms; Vacancy


(a)

Members of the council serve staggered three-year terms, with the terms of two members expiring on February 1 of each year.

(b)

If a vacancy occurs during a member’s term, the presiding officer of the commission, with the commission’s approval, shall appoint to fill the unexpired part of the term a replacement who meets the qualifications of the vacated office.
