Tex. Nat. Resources Code Section 191.003
Definitions


In this chapter:

(1)

“Committee” means the Texas Historical Commission.

(2)

“Landmark” means a state archeological landmark.

(3)

“State agency” means a department, commission, board, office, or other agency that is a part of state government and that is created by the constitution or a statute of this state. The term includes an institution of higher education as defined by Section 61.003, Texas Education Code.

(4)

“Political subdivision” means a local governmental entity created and operating under the laws of this state, including a city, county, school district, or special district created under Article III, Section 52(b)(1) or (2), or Article XVI, Section 59, of the Texas Constitution.
