Tex. Ins. Code Section 6001.159
Continuing Education Requirements

(a)

The commissioner may adopt procedures for certifying and may certify continuing education programs for individuals licensed under this chapter.

(b)

Participation in the continuing education programs is voluntary.

Sec. 6001.160. RECIPROCAL LICENSE.The department may waive any license requirement for an applicant who holds a license issued by another state that has license requirements substantially equivalent to the license requirements of this state.
