Tex. Health & Safety Code Section 461A.104
Minimum Program Requirements

(a)

In this section, “coping skills training” means instruction in the elements and practice of and reasons for the skills of communication, stress management, problem solving, daily living, and decision making.

(b)

A chemical dependency intensive intervention, outpatient, residential treatment, or rehabilitation program that is provided by the department or that is funded wholly or partly by funds allocated through the department must include:

(1)

coping skills training;

(2)

education regarding the manifestations and dynamics of dysfunctional relationships within the family; and

(3)

support group opportunities for children and adults.

(c)

This section does not apply to:

(1)

a detoxification program or that part of a program that provides detoxification; or

(2)

a program provided by the Texas Juvenile Justice Department.
