Tex. Fam. Code Section 101.017
Licensed Child Placing Agency


“Licensed child placing agency” means a person, including an organization or corporation, licensed or certified under Chapter 42 (Regulation of Certain Facilities, Homes, and Agencies that Provide Child-care Services), Human Resources Code, by the Department of Family and Protective Services to place a child in an adoptive home or a residential child-care facility, including a child-care facility, agency foster home, cottage home operation, or general residential operation.
