Sec. § 451.601
Unit of Election Defined

In this subchapter, “unit of election” means:

a municipality, including a principal municipality;

an unincorporated area designated by a commissioners court under Section 451.657 (Commissioners Court to Designate Election Areas) as a discrete unit for the purposes of a confirmation election; or

an emergency services district operating under Chapter 775 (Emergency Services Districts), Health and Safety Code, that:

borders Lake Travis; and

is located in or borders two municipalities with a population of more than 45,000.
