Opening Road Parallel to Navigable Stream


(a)

On the filing of an application in accordance with Sections 286.064 (Public Road) through 286.069 (Damages and Costs), the commissioners court may issue an order that opens, in accordance with this subchapter, a public road that runs parallel and adjacent to the bank of a navigable stream for public access to the navigable stream and for camping purposes.

(b)

The public road must be 60 feet wide and may extend any distance the commissioners court considers necessary.
