Executive Director; Duties


(a)

The board shall appoint an executive director to serve at the pleasure of the board. The executive director shall perform all duties assigned by the board.

(b)

The executive director may delegate duties or responsibilities as the executive director considers appropriate, provided the delegation does not conflict with applicable law or a resolution of the board.

(c)

In accordance with Section 1001.041 (Department Personnel)(a), the executive director shall hire and oversee a general counsel to advise the department.
