Cooperation with and Assistance of Other Governmental Entities


(a)

In implementing this chapter, the board may cooperate with and request the assistance of the Texas Water Development Board, the commission, the United States Geological Survey, the Fort Bend Subsidence District or applicable subsidence district, other local governments, and other agencies of the United States and this state.

(b)

The Fort Bend Subsidence District or applicable subsidence district may enter into an interlocal contract with the authority to carry out the authority’s purposes and may carry out the governmental functions and services specified in the interlocal contract.

(c)

For the purpose of reducing costs associated with preparing a groundwater reduction plan, the board may consider the usefulness of a water supply study or plan prepared by or on behalf of the North Fort Bend Water Authority, the Central Harris County Regional Water Authority, the North Harris County Regional Water Authority, the West Harris County Regional Water Authority, the City of Houston, the City of Sugar Land, the City of Missouri City, Fort Bend County Water Control and Improvement District No. 2, the City of Richmond, the City of Rosenberg, Pecan Grove Municipal Utility District, or another governmental entity to the extent the study or plan is available and applicable to the authority.
