Tax and Bond Elections


(a)

The district shall hold an election in the manner provided by Subchapter L (Time of Election), Chapter 375 (Municipal Management Districts in General), Local Government Code, to obtain voter approval before the district imposes an ad valorem tax or issues bonds payable from ad valorem taxes. The proposition for an election approving an ad valorem tax must specify the maximum tax rate authorized.

(b)

Section 375.243 (Petition Required for Bond Election), Local Government Code, does not apply to the district.
