Conflict of Interest; Applicability of Other Law

A conflict of interest, under either statutory or common law, for a director regarding a particular matter to come before the board, is governed by Chapter 171 (Regulation of Conflicts of Interest of Officers of Municipalities, Counties, and Certain Other Local Governments), Local Government Code.
