Additional Powers Related to Indigent Health Care

In addition to the powers otherwise provided by this chapter, the district may exercise any power granted to a county or a public hospital by Sections 61.035 (Limitation of County Liability), 61.057 (Mandated Provider), 61.058 (Notification of Provision of Nonemergency Services), and 61.059 (Notification of Provision of Emergency Services), Health and Safety Code, as those sections existed on September 30, 2009, including the power to require a person to comply with a corresponding duty.
