Sec. § 1001.401
Imposition of Ad Valorem Tax


The governing body shall impose on all taxable property in the district, for the benefit of the district, a tax at a rate not to exceed 75 cents on each $100 valuation of the property.


The governing body shall impose the tax at the same time taxes are imposed for municipal purposes, using the municipal appraisal roll.


The tax may be used to:


pay the interest on and create a sinking fund for bonds assumed or issued by the district for hospital purposes as provided by this chapter;


provide for the operation and maintenance of the hospital or hospital system; and


when requested by the board and approved by the governing body, make improvements and additions to the hospital system and acquire necessary sites by purchase, lease, or condemnation.
