Tex. Occ. Code Section 505.454
Sanctions for Holder of Expired License or Order of Recognition of Specialty

(a)

A person who holds an expired license or order of recognition of specialty under this chapter is subject to a sanction under this chapter if the executive council determines that the person violated this chapter or a rule adopted under this chapter during the period in which the license or order was valid.
