Tex. Occ. Code Section 401.058
Application to Hearing Instrument Fitters and Dispensers


(a)

This chapter does not prohibit, prevent, or restrict a person licensed under Chapter 402 (Hearing Instrument Fitters and Dispensers) from engaging in the practice of fitting and dispensing hearing instruments.

(b)

Repealed by Acts 2023, 88th Leg., R.S., Ch. 960 (S.B. 2017), Sec. 9, eff. June 18, 2023.

(c)

A person who is not an audiologist who is licensed to fit and dispense hearing instruments under Chapter 402 (Hearing Instrument Fitters and Dispensers) may not:

(1)

practice speech-language pathology or audiology; or

(2)

represent that the person is a speech-language pathologist or audiologist by the use of any term restricted by this chapter.
