Tex. Labor Code Section 201.024
Election to Be Employer

In this subtitle, “employer” also means an employing unit that has elected to become an employer under Section 205.001 (Reimbursements or Contributions by Governmental Entity), 205.002 (Election by Nonprofit Organization), 206.002 (Election of Coverage as Employer), or 206.003 (Election of Coverage Regarding Services Not Constituting Employment).
