Tex. Ins. Code Section 883.703
False Statement or Misappropriation


(a)

A person commits an offense if the person intentionally submits a false statement or misappropriates the funds of a mutual insurance company organized under the laws providing for the incorporation of mutual fire, lightning, hail, and storm insurance companies.

(b)

An offense under this section is a felony punishable by confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for not less than 5 years or more than 10 years.
