Tex. Ins. Code Section 2053.006
Disapproval of Rate Filing; Hearing


(a)

The commissioner shall disapprove a rate filing made under Section 2053.003 (Rate Filing and Supporting Information) if the commissioner determines that the filing does not meet the standards established under this subchapter.

(b)

If the commissioner disapproves a rate filing, the commissioner shall issue an order specifying in what respects the filing fails to meet the requirements of this subchapter.

(c)

A filer whose rate filing is disapproved is entitled to a hearing on written request made to the department not later than the 30th day after the date the order disapproving the filing takes effect.
