Tex. Ins. Code Section 1364.052
Applicability of Subchapter

This subchapter applies to an insurer that delivers or issues for delivery a group health insurance policy or contract in this state, including a group hospital service corporation operating under Chapter 842 (Group Hospital Service Corporations).
