Tex. Health & Safety Code Section 464.005
License Renewal


(a)

The department shall provide renewal application forms and information relating to renewal procedures to each license holder.

(b)

The department may require an inspection before renewing a license, unless the applicant submits an accreditation review from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, The Joint Commission, or another national accreditation organization recognized by the department in accordance with Section 464.0055 (Accreditation Review to Satisfy Inspection Requirements).

(c)

The executive commissioner may establish deadlines for receiving and acting on renewal applications.

(d)

A license may be renewed without prior notice and an opportunity for a hearing. A person other than the applicant or the department may not contest the renewal of a license.
