Possession of Personal Property and Records


(a)

Immediately after receiving letters of guardianship, the guardian of the estate shall collect and take possession of the ward’s personal property, record books, title papers, and other business papers.

(b)

The guardian of the estate shall deliver the ward’s personal property, record books, title papers, and other business papers to a person legally entitled to that property when:

(1)

the guardianship has been closed; or

(2)

a successor guardian has received letters of guardianship.
