Tex. Election Code Section 213.015
Bystanders Excluded


(a)

Only persons that are specifically permitted by law to attend a recount may be inside the room in which the recount is conducted, or in any hallway or corridor in the building in which the recount is conducted within 30 feet of the entrance to the room, while the recount is in progress.

(b)

A recount committee chair has the same authority as that of a presiding judge at a polling place to preserve order during the recount.
