Western Information Network Association
(a)
The Western Information Network Association is an agency of the state composed of the following state-supported member institutions of higher education: Amarillo College, Angelo State University, Clarendon Junior College, Frank Phillips College, Howard County Junior College, Midwestern University, Odessa College, South Plains College, Sul Ross State University, Texas Tech University, The University of Texas at El Paso, and West Texas State University.(b)
The board by a majority vote may admit other state-supported institutions of higher education to membership in the association on the approval of the Coordinating Board, Texas College and University System.(c)
The board by unanimous vote may admit private institutions of higher education to membership in the association on the approval of the Coordinating Board, Texas College and University System.(d)
The board by unanimous vote may admit other organizations to associate membership in the association.(e)
The Western Information Network Association is subject to the Texas Sunset Act (Chapter 325 (Sunset Law), Government Code). Unless continued in existence as provided by that Act, the association is abolished September 1, 1989.
