Tex. Educ. Code Section 47.002
Fund Established

(a)

The tax reduction and excellence in education fund is a special fund in the state treasury outside the general revenue fund.

(b)

The fund consists of:

(1)

money appropriated by the legislature for deposit to the credit of the fund;

(2)

gifts to the state for the purposes of the fund; and

(3)

money directed by law for deposit to the credit of the fund.
