Tex. Educ. Code Section 30A.004
Applicability of Chapter


(a)

Except as provided by Subsection (c), this chapter does not affect the provision of a course to a student while the student is located on the physical premises of a school district or open-enrollment charter school.

(b)

This chapter does not affect the provision of distance learning courses offered under other law.

(b-1)

Requirements imposed by or under this chapter do not apply to a virtual course provided by a school district only to district students if the course is not provided as part of the state virtual school network.

(c)

A school district or open-enrollment charter school may choose to participate in providing an electronic course or an electronic diagnostic assessment under this chapter to a student who is located on the physical premises of a school district or open-enrollment charter school.
