Definitions
(1)
“Conservation district” means a soil and water conservation district.(2)
“Director” means a member of the governing board of a conservation district.(3)
“Family farm corporation” means a farm corporation all shareholders of which are related to each other within the second degree by consanguinity or affinity, as determined under Chapter 573 (Degrees of Relationship; Nepotism Prohibitions), Government Code.(4)
“Federal agency” includes the Soil Conservation Service of the United States Department of Agriculture and any other agency or instrumentality of the federal government.(5)
“Occupier” means a person who is in possession of land lying within a conservation district, either as lessee, tenant, or otherwise.(6)
“State agency” includes a subdivision, agency, or instrumentality of the state.(7)
“State board” means the State Soil and Water Conservation Board.(8)
“State district” means a district established under Section 201.012 (State Districts) of this code.
