Sec. § 65.502
Form of Bonds and Notes


A district may issue its bonds or notes in various series or issues.


Bonds or notes shall mature serially or otherwise not more than 40 years from their date and shall bear interest at any rate permitted by the constitution and laws of this state. The board shall determine the maturity and the interest rate of the bonds and notes.


A districts bonds, notes, and interest coupons, if any, are investment securities under Chapter 8 (Security Instruments), Business & Commerce Code, and may be issued registrable as to principal or as to both principal and interest. The board may make the bonds redeemable before maturity, at the option of the district, or may include in the bonds a mandatory redemption provision.


A districts bonds or notes may be issued in the form, denominations, and manner and under the terms, conditions, and details, and must be signed and executed, as provided by the board in the resolution or order authorizing the issuance of the bonds or notes.
