Tex. Water Code Section 6.053
Eligibility for Membership


(a)

Members of the board must be members of the general public.

(b)

A person is not eligible for appointment to the board if the person or the person’s spouse:

(1)

is employed by or participates in the management of a business entity or other organization regulated by the board or receiving funds from the board;

(2)

owns, controls, or has, directly or indirectly, more than a 10 percent interest in a business entity or other organization regulated by the board or receiving funds from the board; or

(3)

uses or receives a substantial amount of tangible goods, services, or funds from the board.

(c)

Subsection (b)(1) does not apply to an employee of a political subdivision of this state.

(d)

A person is not eligible for appointment to the board if the person served on the board on or before January 1, 2013.
