Tex. Water Code Section 46.006
Compensation; Expenses

(a)

The appointed commissioner is entitled to receive as compensation $15,600 a year until otherwise provided by legislative appropriation and is entitled to reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses while traveling in the discharge of official duties.
