Tex. Transp. Code Section 256.101
Definitions


In this subchapter:

(1)

“Fund” means the transportation infrastructure fund established under this subchapter.

(2)

“Transportation infrastructure project” means the planning for, construction of, reconstruction of, or maintenance of transportation infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and culverts, intended to alleviate degradation caused by the exploration, development, or production of oil or gas. The term includes the lease or rental of equipment used for road maintenance.

(3)

“Weight tolerance permit” means a permit issued under Chapter 623 (Permits for Oversize or Overweight Vehicles) authorizing a vehicle to exceed maximum legal weight limitations.

(4)

“Well completion” means the completion, reentry, or recompletion of an oil or gas well.
