Eligibility to Serve as Director


(a)

To be eligible to serve as a director of the authority or to be listed on a ballot as a candidate for director of the authority representing a director precinct, an individual must:

(1)

be at least 18 years of age;

(2)

be a resident of the authority; and

(3)

have served as a director of one or more districts for a total of at least four years.

(b)

Notwithstanding Subsection (a), to serve as a director representing, or to be listed on a ballot as a candidate for director representing, a director precinct that includes any part of the City of Fulshear, an individual must:

(1)

meet the qualifications provided by Subsections (a)(1) and (2); and

(2)

have served as:

(A)

the mayor or a member of the city council of the City of Fulshear for any period; or

(B)

a director of one or more districts for a total of at least four years.
