Notice of and Hearing on Petition to Annex Defined Area

(a)

On receipt of a petition under Section 7803.251 (Authority to Annex Defined Area), the board by order shall set a time and place for a hearing on the petition to be held not less than 30 days after the date of the order.

(b)

Notice of the time and place of the hearing on the petition must be posted in the district and in the separately defined area proposed to be annexed for at least 15 days before the date of the hearing. Notice must also be published one time in a newspaper with general circulation in the county at least 15 days before the date of the hearing.

(c)

The notice described by Subsection (b) must contain a description of the separately defined area proposed to be annexed.
