Imposition of Taxes; Tax Certification; Tax Assessor-collector

(a)

A tax authorized by this chapter, whether for bonds or maintenance purposes, must be imposed by the board.

(b)

Each year, the board shall certify to the Orange County tax assessor-collector the rate or rates of tax that the board has imposed for bonds and maintenance purposes.

(c)

The Orange County tax assessor-collector shall assess and collect taxes imposed by the board in the manner provided by Chapter 62 (Article Xvi, Section 59, Navigation Districts), Water Code.
