Tax Election Required

(a)

The district must hold an election in the manner provided by Chapter 49 (Provisions Applicable to All Districts), Water Code, or, if applicable, Chapter 375 (Municipal Management Districts in General), Local Government Code, to obtain voter approval before the district may impose an ad valorem tax.

(b)

Section 375.243 (Petition Required for Bond Election), Local Government Code, does not apply to the district.
