Powers of District

The district has all powers provided by the general laws on road districts and road utility districts created under Section 52, Article III, Texas Constitution, and conservation and reclamation districts and municipal management districts created under Section 59, Article XVI, Texas Constitution, including:

(1)

Chapters 257 (Road Districts) and 441 (Road Utility Districts), Transportation Code;

(2)

Chapter 375 (Municipal Management Districts in General), Local Government Code; and

(3)

Chapters 49 (Provisions Applicable to All Districts) and 54 (Municipal Utility Districts), Water Code.
