Tax and Bond Elections


(a)

The district shall hold an election in the manner provided by Chapters 49 (Provisions Applicable to All Districts) and 54 (Municipal Utility Districts), Water Code, to obtain voter approval before the district imposes a sales and use tax or an ad valorem tax or issues bonds payable from ad valorem taxes.

(b)

The board may include more than one purpose in a single proposition at an election.

(c)

Subchapter L (Time of Election), Chapter 375 (Municipal Management Districts in General), Local Government Code, does not apply to the district.
