Foreclosure of Preexisting Tax Lien on Property Owned by District Prohibited


Regardless of the manner in which or the price for which the district obtains title to real property, a political subdivision or taxing authority may not foreclose a tax lien or otherwise pursue unpaid taxes on the property against the district or any successor in title to the district that is a political subdivision of this state if the lien or taxes accrued before the district’s ownership of the property.
