Tex. Spec. Dist. Local Laws Code Section 3001.004
District Territory

(a)

The district includes all of the territory of Chambers County that is east of the center line of the Trinity River and north of the center line of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, other than property located inside the municipal boundaries of an incorporated municipality as of January 1, 1999, as that territory may have been modified under:

(1)

Section 3001.116 (Annexation and Exclusion of Territory), or its predecessor statute, former Section 384.052, Local Government Code; or

(2)

other law.

(b)

The boundaries of the district form a closure. A mistake in the description of the boundaries or in copying the description in the legislative process does not affect the district’s:

(1)

organization, existence, or validity;

(2)

right to issue any type of bond for the purposes for which the district is created or to pay the principal of and interest on a bond;

(3)

right to impose or collect an assessment; or

(4)

legality or operation.
Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1277, Sec. 1, eff. April 1, 2005.
